Alona Beach is one and a half kilometer stretch of soft white sand in barangay Tawala, just southwest of Panglao Island and considered to be the most visited beach in the island. The seaboard is shared with several resorts offering different kinds of accomodations to their guests such as island souvenir shops, seaside restaurants, bars, and many other services.  Alona Beach is highly recommended to both domestic and foreign tourists who want to make their sea adventure an unforgettable experience.

Alona beach is also a perfect place for those who want to get a closer look to marine life where some tourists get to observe reefs in the nearby places just by using ordinary snorkling gears. Some of the resorts offer rentals for snorkling equipments at reasonable prices, but for those adventurous types they can rent boats and get diving equipments in the diving shops located near the vicinity.
