Bohol can be accessed by air, sea and land transportations depending on your convenience. One may rent a car or a van upon arriving the island or may take different modes of transportation in order to reach the different tourist or commercial destinations. Air Travel
 The airport currently available for commercial aerial transportations is located just few minutes from the heart of Tagbilaran City. The island's domestic airport has a 1.7 kilometer runway that caters Asian Spirit, Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines transports from Manila. Flights usually take more or less one hour from Manila to Tagbilaran and vice versa. There are plans to establish a new international airport in Panglao Island in order to accomodate larger air transports like Boeing 757 planes and as an alternative to the Mactan International Airport in Cebu. By this, Bohol will be more accessible to foreign and domestic tourists someday. You may contact the airline companies first to schedules your flights and to avail some of their random ticket promotions. Sea Travel There are five major seaports scattered around Bohol, the main port is located in Tagbilaran City and the others are in the towns of Tubigon, Talibon, Ubay and in Jagna. Tagbilaran City port accomodates larger commercial passenger and cargo vessels from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, while Jagna is the gateway portal to Mindanao specifically to Cagayan de Oro, Agusan del Norte. The province can also be reached from Cebu through Tubigon, Talibon and Ubay. Accessing Bohol via Cebu to Tagbilaran usually covers 4-6 hours by regular boats but for those who want quicker sea travel may take the catamaran-type vessels such as Ocean Jet or SuperCat Fast Ferry services for about 1 and 30 minutes travel time. Due to the limited schedules that serve Cebu to Tagbilaran routes in Tagbilaran Port, most travellers prefer Cebu to Tubigon route or vice versa as an alternative because of numerous boat travel schedules. Tubigon Port, which is almost adjacent to Cebu City, can offer travellers from 45 minutes to 2 hours sea travel depending on the boat type. The land travel from Tagbilaran City to the town of Tubigon usually takes less than two hours if you're taking a bus, or less than an hour if you choose to ride on vans.  Land Travel Travelling by land in Bohol is very convenient because of the different modes of transportation available. Once inside Tagbilaran, colorful jeepneys, multicabs, tricycles are serving the public community to transport them to the different points of the city. At present, a minimum fare of 6 pesos for the first five kilometers tricycle cabs can get you anywhere within Tagbilaran depending on the accessibility of the place. Jeepneys and multicabs however, only travel within their specified routes assigned to them by the city management traffic office. Metered taxis can also be found in major shopping malls, hotels and generally within the metro area. It is suggested to call taxi companies if services are needed, the telephone numbers are listed in the local telephone directory. Municipalities outside Tagbilaran City can be reached by buses, jeepneys or vehicles-for-hire (V-hire as locals usually call them). Passengers can choose airconditioned and non-airconditoned buses while v-hires are already airconditioned. In the city, Dao Integrated Terminal is the main passenger terminal where buses and v-hires are stationed for almost every town in the province. Travellers going to Panglao Island can also get taxi services outside air and sea ports in the city. In rural areas in the different towns of Bohol such as barangays or any suburban places, multicabs, tricycles and habal-habal are the means of transport. Tricycle is the most popular among them that can carry 3-5 persons while habal-habals (motorcycle with extended seats) can accomodate up to 6 people are popular among remote areas in mountain barangays.
